WHAT
TO MAKE
OF A LIFE
A Training Series
Something shifted. Maybe it happened all at once, or maybe it built quietly over months, even years. Either way, the chapter you were in has closed, and the next one is not written yet.
This series is built around the book What to Make of a Life by Jim Collins, the researcher behind the number one bestseller Good to Great. It is for women who have reached a turning point, whether that was a layoff, a restructuring, or the quiet realization that a role you have outgrown no longer fits, and who are ready to ask a bigger question than how do I get back to where I was.
Collins spent ten years studying how people move through the moments when life turns from clarity to confusion. He calls those moments cliffs, and the disorientation that follows them fog. I am not here to summarize every chapter. I am here to pull out the ideas that matter most to a woman in a reset, put them in plain language, and sit with the questions that are actually worth your time.
No one can tell you what to make of your life, this book and this series included. What I can do is gather the ideas from this book that are worth your attention and ask the better questions, so the answers you reach are your own.
You do not need to read the book to follow along, but if you find yourself craving more context, data, and examples after this series, the book will give you so many more insights and stories.
